FastForward2011

The inaugural year of this exciting initiative received a fantastic response and the judging panel had a very difficult task in deciding who the Fast Forward Artist(s) for 2011 would be. The diversity and high quality of the applications meant that many hours of deliberation were necessary in coming to a decision. The judging panel applied a strict criteria to each individual application to enable a fair and unbiased outcome.

In summary, the 2011 scheme attracted 17 applications covering varying requests, such as the purchase of materials, attendance at courses, website development, travel and other more specific needs. Out of the 17 applicants the judges chose 5 successful applications, some of which will receive part funding, others of which will receive their requests in full.

The successful Fast Forward applicants for 2011 were:

  • Nadja Burke - CERAMICS - to help cover the cost of ceramics tuition in Japan

  • Dorothy Adair - PHOTOGRAPHY - to attend a special photography course
