Tips When Visiting Escape ARTfest Events
Whether you're here for the whole festival or just for the weekend, there's loads to keep you entertained. We want you to go away with that creatively and satisfyingly exhausted feeling so the following tips have been compiled to make your ARTfest experience a fabulous one:
- Dress for all weathers when attending outdoor events, at this time of the year on the coast the weather can be a bit unpredictable. Whilst we all wish for warm and sunny it's not out of the question to be faced with wet and windy!
- If attending a workshop make sure you wear old clothes - who wants to let fear of getting dirty get in the way of true creativity!
- Don't miss the Prize Exhibitions - SOAP and Youth Art at the Dunn Lewis Centre in Ulladulla, RIPE Sculpture Exhibition at Cupitt's Winery, 8x8 Canvas Prize at The Little Gallery in Milton, Literature Displays at Harbour Books, Rowen's Arcade Ulladulla.
- The Milton Theatre holds around 200 people, so if you're planning to attend one of the theatre shows make sure you purchase your tickets early.
- Milton has fairly limited parking, so if attending the Milton Music Fest on the Long Weekend, get there early. The main car park in Milton is located between Myrtle and Wason Streets, approach from Croobyar Road (see map) if heading from the South, or turn right into Myrtle St from the highway if heading from the North. The parking police are very vigilent and will happily serve a fine in a car parked outside of designated so do be careful and make sure you park legally at all times.
