Shoalhaven Singers
Conductor:  Anne-Louise Glading
Soprano:  Roberta McGregor

Many singers from the Shoalhaven Area, have come together to form a massed choir, initially for the opening celebrations of the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre in Bridge Road, Nowra.
The Shoalhaven Singers are part of a home-grown event “Evening Delights”, a concert on Saturday, 2 August 2008. This is the first ‘home-grown’ event in the Shoalhaven Entertainment Centre.
As the Choir’s conductor, Anne-Louise Glading strongly believes in the power of music, particularly singing, and takes every opportunity to share her passion and knowledge with other people. In forming this choir, the idea was to bring as many people together from different choral and singing backgrounds and do what we all love best – SING! It is for everyone!
The enjoyment for each of the choir’s members, has been so great, that they want to stay together.  And that is exactly what is happening.  There are terrific plans in place for this choir’s future, what with weekend workshops in voice and movement, concert performances and the like.
The Choir will sing works by Vivaldi, Rachmaninov, a traditional African ‘a capella’ work – with drumming – a work by local soprano, visual artist, poet/composer, Roberta McGregor “We are all Travellers on the Way”, and Johann Strauss, and Natalie Sleeth.
Roberta McGregor will be the soloist for “The Nuns’ Chorus” from Strauss’ Casanova. Two beautiful songs will also be performed by the Soprano Roberta McGregor.

Activities around the harbour will finish at approximately 3.30pm.
