Commercial Hotel Milton

Wednesday 5th October 2011 at 20.20pm

The Commercial Hotel offers a $10 steak night on Wed nights - why not come along beforehand and grab a meal?

It's all about 'thinking & drinking'...

Escape ARTfest is very excited to present the first ever PechaKucha (pronounced pecka coocha) event in our city!

We have registered PechaKucha Ulladulla and are committed to hosting 4 events per year, as part of this global network of creative presentations based on the simple format of 20 slides, 20 seconds each. The event will start, in the tradition of PechaKucha Nights globally, at 20.20pm. The aim is to create a social and fun environment, exposing the often hidden creativity in our community.

This first PechaKucha Night will be based around the festival theme IGNITE and we will have 10 presenters from all walks of life - artists, students, teachers, local identities, musicians... all speaking on the topic "what ignites me..."

About PechaKucha Nights

PechaKucha Night was devised in Tokyo in February 2003 as an event for young designers to meet, network, and show their work in public.

It has turned into a massive celebration, with events happening in hundreds of cities around the world, inspiring creatives worldwide.

Drawing its name from the Japanese term for the sound of "chit chat", it rests on a presentation format that is based on a simple idea: 20 images x 20 seconds each. It's a format that makes presentations concise, and keeps things moving at a rapid pace.

If you are really keen to be one of the presenters please contact us - this will be the first of many PechaKucha Ulladulla events!
